Pediatric physical therapy

Pediatric physical therapy (PT) emphasizes the development of gross motor skills and functional mobility for children with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Our play-based treatments are centered around helping your child achieve their highest level of functional independence. PT treatment includes, but is not limited to:

• Balance, coordination, and motor planning
• Strength, flexibility, and muscle tone
• Developmental motor milestones
• Walking and mobility
• Muscle and joint pain
• Assisting families in orthotic and equipment selection
• Pelvic incontinence, chronic constipation, dysfunctional voiding, and bed wetting

Each child’s success is strongly dependent upon the caregiver’s involvement. Therapy does not stop when the session ends and must be carried over across all environments in a child’s life. We work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure home programs are in place to maximize each child’s progress.
